SGL User Manual

Simple Graphics Library (SGL) provides packed-image resize, crop and rotation, RGB/YUV pixel-format conversion, and runtime services without using the C standard library in the core implementation.

Common Contract

  • Include <sgl-core.h> for application-facing APIs.
  • Image rows are tightly packed; public image functions do not accept stride.
  • SGL_RESTRICT source and destination ranges must not overlap.
  • The caller allocates all source and destination image buffers.
  • Passing SGL_NULL as an image operation's pool selects single-thread execution.
  • Initialize the global SGL memory pool before creating any LUT, queue, or thread pool, or before using an operation that requires temporary storage.

Build This Manual

From the repository root:

make docs

The generated entry point is build/<toolchain>/docs/html/index.html. Doxygen is an optional host dependency and is not required for a normal library build.

Release This Manual

Create self-contained, versioned documentation archives with:

make package-docs

The package/ directory receives .tar.gz and .zip archives plus a SHA256SUMS.txt file. Each archive contains html/index.html, a release README, and the project license. A generated manual is also installed under share/doc/sgl/html by subsequent install and CPack operations.
